I have a new bidder with no history bidding on 3 of my auctions, all different size clothes. They keep upping their own bids. I am a bit suspicious and wonder whether I should or even if I can cancel their bids just on a hunch.

You can cancel bids, but I wouldn't.
They may pay and be a good buyer, otherwise you can deal with it if not.
If you haven't, put blocks in place on buyers with strikes.
Hover over the account tab on My ebay summary page and select site preferences.
Scroll to buyer requirements, then to the right select show and edit.
Change blocks or add any members to BBL.

Yes, that is lots of bidding! But before I started selling I was told to buy until I had at least 10 positive feedbacks. And newbies can be enthusiastic! Wait and see, hopefully they will be enthusiastically prompt in paying ๐

It may seem like a lot of bidding but remember that every time the price goes up (if you have autobids in place) it reqisters as a bid. When you break it down, its only approx 3 bids per item so i would say not lot of bidding. Even though not many actual wins that may only suggest they were not prepared to pay the price the item got too. Luckily sellers cant see how items I just watch...lol. then we would have sellers whinging about so many people just watching and not buying.

Seems they're just going crazy with bid but it looks harmless enough. They've recently also bid on sweets and you're only 1% of the total amount of sellers that they've placed bids with recently.
As said, you can deal with it if there is a problem but since you don't have any negative history with this person, you may aswell give them a chance.

Do you have all appropriate blocks in place? Like blocking ID that has low FB and is not phone verified? that stops nuisance bidders who start IDs specifically to damage auctions. In my block log I can see that every non verified bidder who got blocked, has had their ID verified and came back to bid.

I have all bolck in place but they have not been a member long enough to go through a UID. I will let it goes and see what happens. They have won 3 Nokia phones in the last 2 days and are leading bidder on another 5 so I guess if they are non payers it wont take long show now! Thanks everyone.

Very grateful they were outbid. Just checked their feedback and 3 false positives so far!
