Hi Everyone,
I have been on ebay for a few years now (buying) with a different user ID, i thought i would try selling some items on ebay with a new ID and have been up and running for about a week now- i can't put all my stock on as yet as i am limited to a certain amount of listings per month. My question is i haven't sold ANYTHING yet and am starting to think that maybe this isn't the right thing for me and i should just give up whilst im not ahead 🙂
I would really appreciate it if someone with some selling experience could help me out and take a look at my listings and let me know what im doing wrong as i don't really know what im doing or how selling on ebay works just yet. Could it be that because i don't have any feedback people are scared to buy off me...or do i just suck at this?
Thanks a lot

Wonder where the seller went-would have been more than happy to assist them with their listing prices or something :-x

At least she's not being dishonest like some sellers who buy items from Asia, take the labels off, substitute their own, and claim the item as handmade. This happens on several sites, including ebay.
Give the girl a break; she's trying to make a few extra dollars for herself, and will learn as we all did; not one seller was an expert from day one:| I've been selling for over nine years and still get policy violations because I don't know all the rules - so says ebay.

Mother bear, you have ALWAYS come across as genuine & lovely & I can't imagine for one minute that you'd deliberately buy from a Chinese wholesaler of blatant fakes.:-x
I haven't reported the OP BUT I hope she does take my advice & destroys her non licenced products before she really does get into some serious trouble.Better for her to be told now instead of some BP just slamming her wouldn't you agree ?

Accessories..... It takes a while to get the hang of selling on Ebay. I would suggest close the store for now and experiment a bit more selling without the store. I strongly recommend getting a book or just doing lots of research online because there really is alot to know about selling. Also alot of the time you need to experiment with your product- what sells, what doesnt, whats easy to post even. Dont let the replies on here dishearten you. Also do some auctions as that will get you higher on the search list, then people will often look at the other things you are selling. I cant emphasize enough reading up on how to sell on ebay there are so many little things a new seller would not know, and so many little helpful tips that will help you to sell. Good Luck!

getting a book . . . . not necessary . . . . you can get to the site map from any eBay page . . . just go to the bottom of any page and click on the site map link. Lots of information there . . . . it's free AND it is reliable as it is eBay's own site map and not some author's interpretation.
doing lots of research online . . . . . try these links for starters
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/index/A.html
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/replica-counterfeit.html
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/tutorial/verotutorial/intro.html (particularly questions 5 and 14)

Dont let the replies on here dishearten you . . . . better to get advice here than getting a call/email/visit from the authorities.
Now, I am not passing judgement on the diaper covers being sold by the OP as I have no clue about Disney items (or diapers), but others do. The fact they have Disney characters on them should prompt the OP to ensure that they are authorized products because if they aren't she could find herself in a lot of trouble. If the OP receives this advice she should not be disheartened, she should be grateful that she is being prompted to check and recheck her product origins and their authenticity with her suppliers.
Gone are the days when selling dodgy things in Australia was considered consistent with us have a convict heritage. It is now taken seriously and there are severe penalties.
