I received in the mail some trial express post click & send satchels with a letter attached stating that these satchels are planned for release over the coming weeks and there are some samples enclosed. They will also be available via the Aust Post online store - the same as the regular satchels.
Going by the code at the back of these new satchels, they are identical to the regular c&s satchels so no doubt most people would opt for the express version if they price will be the same!
Anyone else received these satchels yet? They are not yet available from the online store.

This personally sounds awesome, especially if they still come with the same tracking that covers for INR, it would make it much more cost effective. Hopefully they are the same price. Sounds exciting 🙂 - Does it just say express on the front, with the ebay logos still and whatnot?

Yes, it looks exactly like express satchels look just with the ebay logos and logos you see on the normal click & send satchels. I presume that seeing as though have the same code they would definitely be covered the same way the normal satchels are.

The only difference I notice is the slip pouch is on the bottom of the satchels instead of at the top (opening of the satchels) - I actually prefer this

Sounds like a really good idea to me, at least it will make it significantly easier (and possibly safer) for me to offer express. 🙂 My guess is, if the code and postage pricing is the same, then the satchels themselves will probably cost more to purchase than the regular ones.
Hopefully it'll still work out cheaper than the other C&S services (I can actually select next day delivery for some parcels, depending on where it's going, but it costs $3.00 and I always wondered how it would actually work).

You're right - they will probably be more expensive to buy than the normal bags.
You've lost me with your last statement sorry - what do you mean select next day delivery costs you $3? I'm confused. I don't recall seeing an option when you sell things for next day delivery. The only thing they offer is handling time, not delivery time.

You can specify the delivery date, and in some cases I have been able to select the following date (eg process a label 12/12, select to have it delivered 13/12), and this option has been available on some items going interstate, others have the first selectable date a few days after, but the service costs $3 either way. I don't know how they'd guarantee next day delivery for a regular C&S parcel as it would be very easy to miss since they don't seem to be scanned at any point during processing, so I presume they don't pay attention to label data until scanned. Even if lodged over the counter, I wonder if it really would make it to its destination the following day).
