I've had more than 2,550 sales and lately I've had a spate of buyers who make no contact after the sale - no payment.
I receive a FVF fee refund but this is not enough - I want justice!!
I see these buyers going on with their 100% rating and their behaviour should at least be visible to sellers.
Why keep them at 100% poistive when they have defaulted????????????
It's just NOT FAIR!!!!

I had a buyer recently who, after days went by, I contacted him for payment, he suggested he wanted to pick the item up, that he purchased. In email I said I preferred to post it out and that payment by paypal is preferred.
He said he had a dispute with Paypal so did not have an account. I sent him my bank deposit details. After the payment did not turn up I contacted him again. After a weekend and another couple of days he got back and said he had put the wrong info in, and payment was returned, and that he will send it again.
It can happen and I wasn't in a hurry.... just as well.
I sent his item as soon as I received the payment. He then quickly went ahead and used positive feedback to site a complaint he had about me regarding postage. He did this without contacting me that he had a problem. I contacted him again by email and said it was something that could have easily been sorted out for him to received a refund if he had let me know. I said, but it can't be fixed now because of the way he has handled the problem.
He went off his head in a returned email. He made many untrue accusations about me on how he believed I gained extra money through postage. He said he now wanted to remove the positive feedback and leave negative and ordered me to not contact him again. He told me he also gave me a very poor postage feedback report.
It's not fair that I can't at least warn sellers to beware of this buyer especially if wanting a speedy transaction after the initial purchase.
I believe he has breached two of ebay's rules; One is that he wanted to complete the transaction outside of Ebay and two, He used positive feedback to make a negative comment. He admitted he wanted to warn other buyers about me and is why he did it that way.
I swear he is the only mistake I made regarding postage. I must have forgotten to put bubblewrap on his book. That's all I can think of as to why I got a cheaper postage.

You should have noticed that you only send it as a large letter while you charged $6.60. Not that it is any drama; you got positive FB, so what is the problem?

Hi bookvasity,
If we ignore the seller behaviour and concentrate purely on the buyer, this is 'sort of' the sort fo thing I am referring to i.e. when buyer stuffed this seller around he did not go off the deep end and send abusive emails but if we read between the lines it may be that PayPal has booted this buyer off because of bad behaviour too. This sort of buyer is just what neg feedback was supposed to rid eBay of (once they had been given a number of chances). There is no call for that type of over-reaction. The implication (whilst admitted unproven) is that he may be a serial offender and if we had his accurate feedback history we would know for sure. Unfortunately I think he will probably continue to trade and cause grief on eBay.
Had postage been different from quoted though, I think it would have been best to refund the difference to avoid this hassle perhaps? Its what you would want if you were the buyer, right?

This is probably where things went the most "wrong". IMO, the buyer left a positive FB, true they marked down the star and that can definitely have an affect on your ratings, but the buyer left FB that reflected their experience, and if the cost had still been $1.80 to send with bubble wrap on, they likely would have still marked the star down. I say this is where things went a little wrong because there was absolutely no point contacting the buyer and telling them you would not resolve the problem.
Generally, when people leave feedback (especially a positive) they don't want or expect anything to be resolved, so it's quite possible contacting them out of the blue to say that has been interpreted a bit like a taunt, if you know what I mean (i.e. well I would have helped you if you had of done X, but I'm not going to now so there!). I have contacted buyers who have noted minor issues in feedback, but only because there was something I was prepared to do about it - the FB is irrelevant to me and doesn't negate the fact that my customer has an issue that I can fix for them, and I'm prepared to do so no matter how they let me know about it.
I probably wouldn't have responded to the FB either as it unnecessarily draws attention to the comment, though it won't affect much in the grand scheme of things, IMO.
The rest of your feedback speaks for itself, so I wouldn't spend too much of my time or energy worrying about this one transaction.

He just suggested he will pick it up and pay cash, which is totally acceptable.
Buyer is allowed to mention something he was not happy with but leave positive FB.

Thanks for clearing the first one up... I see you are right about picking it up.
The second one, no - he only needed to be 'not happy' if he couldn't resolve a problem. I was willing, if he had contacted me, to give him a refund. No problem! I think it a much wiser choice for him to have a refund. As I see it we both would have been happy then - and I would have given him feedback as well. and this is my point...

Just checking if I have been baned cos I can't leave comment on another thread. Is there a limit to how many posts we can leave?

Hi Moochgraber,
I think you have hit ther nail on the head. He must have a reason for not contacting me to receive a refund. I take it as aggression experessed in (??) left. This is what concerns me also. He last email was scary as well. I'm so pleased I didn't allow him to pick it up and he possibly have found out where I lived.
