Notes to seller not saved by buyer

I have had this a few times where buyers are convinced they had sent me a note in an order during checkout. The problem is that they had typed the note requesting something such as a colour selection but they had not saved the note with the order.

I am sure it would be easy for eBay to have a pop up asking a buyer if they wanted to discard a typed note that had not been saved.

Most customers are OK with it once I explain that this may have happened and is the reason why they have been sent a default colour.

Difficult buyers are adament they sent a note with the order, a few times this has resulted in negative feedback which can be removed although is time consuming for me.

Anyone else have this problem and do eBay read this forum to fix problems sellers have with the system?

I have a feeling, that it may be the app on mobiles. I get all sorts of interesting things and folks say they are using the app. 😞 Just a thought ??

Notes to seller not saved by buyer

The ap on mobiles does seem to be very glitchy if the seller is working off a standard web platform.

A few examples

I had 28 items on the eBay ap on my mobile this morning eBay was suggesting I should ship. On the 'desktop' version there are 13.

I had 13 items awaiting payment on the eBay ap this motning. On the 'desktop' version there are 6.

It appears different data is stored on different servers depending on the access platorm which will explain variations.

One would imagine that buyers make much heavier use of the ap than sellers do but for the two to not line up and talk to each other is pretty bad. How do I give eBay a defect on this? Perhaps I should let them know in one of their feedback questionaires I'm sure they will fix it up pronto if I do. 🙂
