A B C D or E is all you need to answer...But please feel freel to add more comments if you like 😉
Do you..
A. Feel that the current buyer and seller protection policies offered by eBay and Paypal are proper.
or
B. Do you feel the protection policies should be less ambiguous, with less loop holes for eBay and Paypal to jump through.
And if you answered A to the above, do you..
C. Have any legal training or received legal advice before selling on eBay
or
D. Do you just blindly excepted and follow what eBay and Paypal tell you.
or
E. None of the above, I both buy and sell on eBay and have never given a thought about how they treat me or others or what their motives are.

You're a buyer, Belinda. According to OP you shouldn't be allowed in here.
Sounds like an English board i go on. Sometimes newbies wonder why it is over run with aussies, but hey, we go anywhere and on here, why should ebay try to restrict it?
Never have rules you are not going to be able to readily enforce, that's what I say.
Why would you want to restrict it anyway? Buyers can learn from this board, same as sellers.
And....Buyers can turn into sellers at any time.
As for all the ABCDE, none of them appeal.
My personal opinion is paypal protection is some improvement on the old system before it, which was basically bank deposit.
It's not perfect-nothing in life ever is-and ebay systems could do with a tweak here and there. No doubt they will get some as time passes. Nothing ever stays the same.
My guess is most people work within the system as it is, so a mix of A & B. Very few users would have proper legal training. Doesn't mean people are blind to any problems, but on the whole, ebay works.

define proper
or
B. Do you feel the protection policies should be less ambiguous, with less loop holes for eBay and Paypal to jump through.
I find them precise and straight forward. I do not find them in any way ambiguous.
I am yet to identify any loopholes in the policies of either company which require either party to jump through any hoops.
And if you answered A to the above, do you..
C. Have any legal training or received legal advice before selling on eBay
Not the first time I began selling several years ago, but being in my 3rd year of a double Law Degree, one could argue that I have received some basic legal training prior to recommencing selling on eBay earlier this year.
or
D. Do you just blindly excepted and follow what eBay and Paypal tell you.
I follow their rules to the best of my ability and accept that if I wish to use their platform then I must do so according to their guidelines and policies which coincidentally, I did agree to do when I joined/signed up to use the site.
