PayPal payment "pending" since the 30th.

Hi all. I had a buyer purchase an item from me on the 30th Jan. Up until now, my Ebay is showing her payment with a timer and not the blue dollar sign which means it's been paid for. She's just messaged me asking what's going on and her end has gone through. My paypal is not showing her payment and name so it hasn't come through on my end. What do I do? Shall I just cancel the ordeR?

Her payment has probably morphed into an echeque, which can take a week or so to clear. She may have paid from her savings account which can spawn an echeque. Let her know that's probably what's happened and as soon as it's cleared you'll send her item. You'll know when it's cleared as the blue $ sign will appear.

If it is not showing in Paypal as a pending payment then the most likely explanation is that there is a typo in the payment email address. Go to the listing and click on revise then scroll down to the payments field and check the email address for mistakes.  It is not unheard of for ebay to revert to an old email address and it is not something a lot of sellers check when doing a listing.

If that is the cause and it is an old email address that used to be linked to Paypal then if you give them a call they can fix it for you. If it is a typo then you wil have to refund the buyer and ask them to pay again,you will have to send them a payment request through Paypal as you cannot change the email address in ebay after the sale.
