Paypal gift cards??

Hey guys, I need some advice from people who have done this before..

I have a lady who has emailed me saying that she wants to use her paypal gift card as part of the payment ..

How does this work?? When I send her in the invoice does she enter in the details or does it automatically work when she pays with paypal or do I have the edit the invoice with the gift card??

You just send the ordinary invoice and when she goes through paypal there is an option for her to enter the gift card details.

It makes no difference to you at all how she funds her purchase.....paypal just sends you the payment as usual.

I did encounter a little problem after she paid.. We agreed on a set amount and I gave her a discount but for some reason could not do it from ebay, so I said I would send her a partial refund on paypal.. turns out if you pay with a gift card on paypal, you cannot do partial refunds but only refund the full amount.. so I ended up having to "send money" with the discounted amount o_o boyohboy a lot of work to keep customers happy 😄

You cannot discount the item price on ebay, only the postage amount.

Thank you for posting that outcome regarding inability to process a partial refund on gift card  - good tip that I will store for future reference in case I ever come across in my own sales.
