Hi Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with buyers having problems with checkout or messages. I have had messages from 2 different buyers tonight. Both have said that they had asked for me to adjust the invoice for them to add tracking with signature and extra cover. Unsure if they actualy sent a message via my messages or requested new invoice via checkout. Anyway I did not receive either of their requests.
Just wondering if there is a glitch somewhere and if anyone else has had any issues
Thanks

Thanks Lyndal This is really strange. Maybe it was just a coincidence that 2 buyers were having the same problem though the sales were a few days apart and I would think they would have requested adjusted invoices straight away.
Thanks for reply

I've sent a number of messages today and haven't had any indication of it - not yet anyway - though I know it's not unheard of for messages to go MIA.
I got in the habit a while back to tick the box that copies all messages, invoices etc to my own email as I feel a little bit more assured that they're getting through the system and reaching buyers if I receive them (completely baseless theory, but I still do it anyway ).

Hi That might be a good idea while I think that there is a problem. When I got the first query tonight I just thought that the buyer must not have hit the send button but when I got the second message did think it a bit unusual.
Cheers

I sent a message to a seller late last night and she replied early this morning...there have been 5 messages between us during the course of the day and no delays or other problems at all.
I have not used checkout today but it was fine last night.

I had a buyer who said they bought a large number of items and wanted to combine postage, which I offer on my description.
I did not received any sales from this buyer, even though they seemed to be experienced and had a feedback score of 254. They sent me a second message saying "I know im a pain, sorry. I just tried to amend my order and Im unable to do it.
Help,,,, please." In reply I just said 'try to cancel the order and try again. If you can't complete the order then you don't meet my criteria as a buyer.' He immediately cancelled the order and I immediately blocked him from trying to buy from me. Have'nt got time to mess around with these people.

Your loss.
And as this thread is 4 months old, I doubt that any of the issues in it are relevant to your situation.
You might like to read the CURRENT threads about difficulties with the shopping cart. Either selling or buying board, there are plenty. Then you might understand where your lost buyer is coming from.
Besides, if a buyer purchases multiple items and hasn't paid, you, the seller, ALWAYS have the option of sending them an invoice with the correct amount on it. The smart thing to do, and likely to result in more sales than blocking buyers.

If you didn't receive any sales from this buyer, how were THEY then able to cancel the order? How does a buyer cancel an order? A seller has to initiate it, so if they didn't buy anything from you, how did YOU initiate a cancellation?

What Invoice? All I got was messages. Nothing went though my Selling Manager. I have plenty of buyers who do not have trouble requesting a combined postage. If they were having trouble, you would think they would go to Ebay for help not me.

They would have put the items in their shopping cart. You don't get sold messages when they use the cart, only at the end with the total order. Lost sale.
