i've been having this problem for a while now , my photos don't fill in the photo frame of my listings and leave a lot of white space around it
wether it's a portrait or a landscape shot they dont seem to the reach the end of the frame on the listing
it may have something to did with the resolution of the picture or because it was taken from my phone but i'd like ot know how i can expand the image or take a photo to fill will fill in the entire frame in the listing
any help would be very much appreciated
thanks

Photos need to be at least 500 pixels on the longest side.
It's quite likely that your phone camera is not achieving this.
Even tho 500 is the stated minimum size better that you use greater than this. They fit the frames better.

You could try increasing the photo size in the settings of your phone/camera. Set it to the highest setting with 16:9 ratio. Most of my photos are taken with my Samsung phone and I use the highest settings and have no problems with size. It also allows scope for cropping if need be too.

In this case, it's because your photos aren't square - it doesn't actually matter whether you have an image that's 500 pixels on one side or more, because eBay's image space, as such, provides for square images. If a rectangular image is uploaded, it can fill in the maximum width or height, but not both, so the rest is filled in with blank space. If you upload square images, whether they are 500 x 500 or 2000 x 2000, the full amount of space will be filled, but I know that's a little difficult when you're uploading images of recatangular items like DVDs

Just thought I'd add... If you do need to upload rectangular images, you're better off using portait ones if you can manage it, because that way you get the full use of height in the gallery / search results, and your listings don't look squashed between other people's, if that makes sense.
You can probably see what I mean if you look at your current listings - the ones with portrait images are given the most "real estate" so to speak, and in search results, you want to be as noticable as possible. 😉
