Whenever I try to revise a listing, without having touched any of the postage options, I
get an error message telling me to set a postage policy, which I did not touch.
So I go and check that all the info is correct, yep all there, item weight, parcel size,
packing type,, all there post code is ok, cannot find any issues with the data. however
It still pops up the same message.
I have had to remove the Item from sale and post it on Gumtree out of frustration,
I have been using ebay for years without an issue but these postage policies are driving
me bonkers.
Please tell me someone has had this issue, because ebay won`t

If you have opted into the postage policy then you need to specify one. Having all the information in listing doesn't count. You need to set up a postage policy. Or opt out.
I never opted in and I have no issues.

Ok, thanks for the info.

If you want to opt out, go to My eBay > Account > Business Policies and click the little Opt Out link (top-right).
The policies are essentially templates that are saved and can be selected easily for future listings once set up (the process is basically the same as selecting you postage services and costs the old way, once you click on Create new policy or edit an existing one).

I really like the policies but unfortunately only one of my selling accounts, the one I use least, is set up to use them.

hi I have always used business policies and most of my items do not fit the standard post policies.
I have spent many many days carefully creating my policies. I have no reason to opt out of using these polices, nor do I recall opting out.
I am looking at growing my business not reducing it.
I feel that something has gone terribly wrong with my account and has created many issues for me listing in the future.
recently I tried accessing my policies and the message unable to access policies at this time.Check back later. When I did so they were no longer appearing in my account.
I need this matter addressed asap.
Thanks Sean merlinskeepe.
