Oh my lord, I am going crazy!
Is anyone having problems with editing photo's in Photobucket?
I edit, hit save, and boom, it goes back to the original.
I do it over and over and over again, and it takes probably 8 or so edits for it to actually "take hold".
Is anyone else having that trouble? Or is it a known issue?
Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid I stopped trying to use the Photobucket editor years ago - I could never get it to function properly (consistently froze, and it wasn't possible to make interim saves X-( ).
So I can't really help with your current issue, but depending on the kind of editing you're trying to do, I would recommend editing before uploading. If there's special effects you're trying to use, some of them are available free with sites like Picmonkey - no account required, you can just upload a photo, edit, then download the new version...but the downside of that is it's a bit more convoluted as you'd then have to upload to PB.

I use Irfanview to crop and resize photos before uploading. One nice feature is that you can save photos much lower than their original size. I choose to save them at 70%, which has 800x800 photos coming out at around 60 kilobytes. There's no noticable loss in picture quality either. It really depends on what your uses are for an editing program.

I wish I had asked here before starting to edit *all* of my images lol.
I'm about half way through so I can't switch programs now or else each image won't match but I definitely know for the future!
Photobucket is horrible for editing! REALLY HORRIBLE!
Thanks guys.

I started trying to edit photos in the eBay listing tool, and the results were ghastly. I was tearing my hair out till my partner suggested that I should edit them full-size on my Mac and just load in the fully edited best shots. The relief was unreal- no more pics going in sideways or uncropping themselves!

Hi Judy :-)long time no see
The best way to edit a PB picture is to do it on your own PC and then simply use the same file name as the one in PB, then delete the one on PB before uploading the edited picture thus replacing it with the edited photo.

Great advice, the_hawk
I finally finished editing all mine about 30 minutes ago (it's almost 4am and I've been at it since 3 this afternoon!)
Never ever again. Microsoft paint will do me just fine lol.

Hi Hawk, I gave up on the boards for a Very Long Time, but I'm back hoping to pick brains now I've started selling.:-D

Yes, Hawk, that Judy is. I have known Judy from a private group and found her the most honest, no nonsense and most trustworthy person.
