The winning bidder of an item has not replied to my emails. I have sent an invoice and have the item ready to mail, but I am awaiting payment. How long should I give a buyer to make a payment, particularly if they have not attempted to make contact and reply to emails I have sent? All I need to know is what their intentions are as I can offer item to next highest bidder if they do not wish to go ahead with the purchase. There has been some negative feedback re the same matter from other sellers.

firstly, you cannot offer to the underbidder until you have COMPLETED the current transaction.
if it has been 4 days since the auction ended, you should open a Non payer dispute , then you need to wait a further 4 full days for the bidder to respond and pay. if they do not pay in those 4 days you can close the dispute, that gets your fvf back from ebay, ebay issues the bidder a strike and you can then offer to the underbidder or relist for sale.
do not attempt to do as others have done and leave a false positive feedback, just let ebay deal with it thru the dispute.
