RETURNS: THE SELLER HAS NO RIGHTS

ATTENTION ALL SELLERS: Some of you will know this. But some of you may not & it's important.

If a buyer raises a return request, ebay no longer assesses the buyer's evidence & assesses your evidence & makes a decision in someone's favour.  What they do now is rule in the buyers favour just by virtue of the buyer saying the product did not meet expectations. Simply by the buyer selecting "fake" or "damaged" or "not as described", they start the return process. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PROVE ANY PART OF THEIR COMPLAINT. If the seller hasnt instituted the return within the required # days, the refund is given to the buyer. This may happen if the email advising of all this hasn't been seen by the seller. In such case, the buyer still has the item & ebay cant force them to send it back to the seller. If the seller has instituted the return within the requisite # days, then ebay ensures the seller gets the goods & the buyer gets the refund.

Here's the funny part - if the buyer trashed your item verbally as part of his/her complaint and you didnt institute the return within the required period, they can then keep it. Even if they said it was damaged, why would they want a damaged item? Because it wasn't damaged & ebay didnt require them to prove their damaged allegation.

Even if you take time stamped photos of the item going into the package, ebay doesn't give a **bleep** about proof.

Unless someone tells me otherwise, this policy is to save money because ebay is too cheap to spend money on settling disputes.

Their care factor: sub zero
