Refund Paypal payment but no money in Paypal account

I want to do a full refund for a buyer but what happens when I go to Paypal to refund if there are no funds in my Paypal account?

I don't want to get half way through the refund and then have to ask questions so I will ask first.

Is it possible to fund the refund with a credit/debit card or does it have to come out of my bank account?

If it is from my bank account will the refund be like an echeque or will it be an instant payment as it is when I make a purchase and choose bank account?

Hi if you have a credit card linked to your account I'm pretty sure you can choose that if there is nothing in your paypal balance. If it comes from your bank account I would assume it will be an echeque the same as if it comes from a buyers bank account.
