Refund question

This is just a hypothetical question (I am new to selling) if a buyer wanted a refund (for whatever reason) and I agree, can we settle this privately or do we have to open a dispute?

ie: I can just refund the money no 3rd party involvment?

Also when refunding (assuming they paid through paypal) would I just refund in the "issue refund" section in paypal where their payment is listed?

I don't care how it's done really, I am just wondering what the actual and correct process is .

Why not just measure the jacket now, send her the measurements, and if she does not want it cancel the sale.

yes, she should have asked before bidding, but you could have saved yourself this hassle and possibly attracted more buyers if you did put the measurements in your listing.
