Hello all can you sell a starters pistol on ebay, this gun looks like the real thing, it takes caps and is loud cheers.

It might depend whether -- as a pistol -- it can be classified as a firearm.

I work in a school.  When we used to use a starter's pistol for athletic events the starter had to have a current and valid firearms licence.

We haven't used the pistol for years.  Not sure if the school even still has the pistol.  We now use a megaphone that makes a loud "BEEP" sound and also has a camera flash attached so that timekeepers can see when the event started.

I would imagine that there would be restrictions regarding selling a starters pistol on eBay.  Maybe a call to the police would help you find out.

Starters' Pistols are restricted firearms for which licences are required under the meaning of the Firearms Act, and as such are banned from sale on eBay (and most other places for that matter). Sorry.

Yes just googled it you have to have a licence in nsw, anyway it is part of a deceaced estate so it will go to the cops, i wonder if they will give me any compensation for it LOL.

And why do you think replying 5 years after the fact would be useful?
