Sale of goods

I can’t understand why I have sent the goods I sold but don’t receive payment for 2 weeks. It was ok for EBay to already take their fees out of my sale. Some excuse of being a new seller, absolutely disappointed.

Sale of goods

I have been a seller on and off for 14 years.

On this ID, I haven't bought or sold anything for over a year.

If I sell an item, I will have to wait for the proceeds of the sale.

I know that, I accept that, I have no problem with that.

If I have a sleepness night, I'll go back and do the research,  but don't hold me to it

I have had a sleepless night (a sleepness one would have been nice!), so I'm glad you already posted the link! I was meant to finish work at 9.30pm last night, but finally got home half an hour ago at 4.30am!

I don't know if Pink has restrictions on the sale of tickets to her shows, but my understanding is, to sell tickets on ebay, they are meant to be at face value. You're not meant to profit from them. I think that's to stop scalpers capitalising.

I'd bought tickets to Elton John locally, but also bought tickets to go near where my family live. I was excited to go twice! Turned out, the latter, I was rostered to work that weekend and couldn't get out of it, so I decided to list them on ebay. Given the tickets sold out so quickly, I thought it would be a quick sale, and it was.

There were warnings when I listed that I wasn't to inflate the price as a buy it now or I could be sanctioned. I can't remember the wording now because it's a few years ago, but if I did sell for profit and got caught, I'd be up to my armpits in excrement. My tickets, I showed all of the ticket, including the price, except the barcode, so the buyer could see they were paying what I paid (I lost because I had to post with tracking and insurance, but at least the tickets didn't go to waste, and the buyer had the best time. She was so stoked that she could go).

Sale of goods

Ok,  so further digging of Ebays event ticket policy, would indicate to me that OP has potentially broken the T&C's on sale of event tickets.

As it is an auction, they cannot ensure that the price doesnt go more than 10% above the ticket price.  And as they havent said how much the ticket price is, they may or may not have,

As OP would say Absolutely disappointing

Sale of goods

What if I sell or buy a ticket at a price greater than 10% of the original ticket price?

The Act contains penalties for reselling and purchasing tickets to events at  Stadiums Queensland facilities at a price greater than 10% above the original ticket price.

Sellers of scalped tickets face a maximum fine of 20 penalty units or $3,096.00
Buyers of scalped tickets face a maximum fine of 5 penalty units or $774.00

These provisions reinforce the terms and conditions currently attached to many tickets by event organisers and ticket agents, which prohibit the resale of tickets at a premium.

An offence is committed whether the ticket is sold or purchased prior to, or at the event
