Over the inability to warn other sellers about non paying buyers through the feedback system...Yeah i know they get non payment strike next to their name yadda yadda...well thats ok for ebay gods...but us sellers cant see those strikes!! all we get is buyers with 100% feedback that doesnt reflect the reality of that members buying/payment history.....You can sugar coat a buyers feedback by not giving sellers the function to leave accurate feedback.....But all it does is send your sellers elsewhere when they discover buyers can get away with mulitple non payments and still have100 % feedback.....Is just a smoke screen, trying to make the site look like it has no problems with its members....Ebay staff helpers reply? Block the buyer!!! that doesnt warn other sellers and it certainly doesnt stop the next non payer from purchasing...it just stops that non paying buyer...We can"t see the strikes...and why should i have to fix it so my setttings will stop buyers with so many strikes against thier name from bidding...Why are ebay trying to hide these people.....
Utter joke when there are other avenues to sell from now that are giving ebay a run for its money...I won't be trying to sell anything on here again while it remains this way....I can get the same benefits from selling elsewhere, but without the fees...
Buyers get to leave any ol **bleep** feedback they like even if the transaction was smooth and the item is spot on and del is fast, they can still leave whatever the hell they like...Me if i hit leave feedback for a non payer theres no option to leave truthful negative feedback....sure i can hit the pos and try leave non payment in comments but it gives that buyer a perfect feedback still .... which means sellers wont bother to look at commentswith a feedback score doesnt reflect their buying habits!...We see 100% feedback so think the best!!!!
Just over it....I don't have the patience for my time to be wasted...8 days before can put non payment in, then delay till buyer responds or case closed then relist and play the waiting game again. If someone bids on an item and wins...i expect payment.. If they've wasted my time... i expect the same rights to leave appropriate feedback that buyers have...Not this BS system that is in place.
Do not expect replies of support or damning condemming nasty replies from members,,,,Not even sure if ebay Gods will see this...I dont expect this post to make an ounce of difference...knows it wont make changes happen....knows the subjects been killed over and over again in the forums...honestly i couldnt give a stuff...this is more about letting ebay know....ya losing with so many other avenues out there in regards to selling platforms......SMH and this is what your offering your sellers!!......Nah...Wont be trying to sell here again...Just dont havr the time to waste.

Thanks for your long and informative reply. Good points and yes i already know all these policies, rules ect and i m fully aware of that im violating Ebayโs feedback policy, they can remove that feedbacks, or someone from here or a reader of this forum or one of the non payer time-wasters can report me, i can be suspended from selling or buying on eBay.. its not the end of the world. Iโve been using ebay nearly 15 years as a buyer & seller. That means time to leave for me ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐ญ

Itโs actually very helpful those positive negs when a serial non payer buyer bumps into me i know what sort of ebayer im dealing with
For example this time-waster, he bought from me right after i have seen those feedbacks on his profile, i have blocked him first, sent every day payment reminder to him while i was contacting other sellers. I have found out that he has already 3 strikes from UPI cases closed recently and even my buyer preferences set for strict level he was able to buy from me, contacted Ebay and asked this absurdity. Yeah the answer was โa glitchโ Yes a glitch has caused all of this me and other buyers ๐๐๐ those 45 positive negs nearly 6months long till 2018..Anyway end of the story.. he is still on ebay and his account is active ..๐คช๐คช๐คช๐

Khulu, you are sooo wrong.
Giving him positives boosts his score.
False positives are against the rules and if the buyer knew he could have them all removed in an instant.
It's 2 or more strikes that blocks buyers but if all sellers just learnt to set their blocks, the buyer could not buy or bid on eBay at all.
Glitch aside, what are you going to do if he bids in the last minute of an auction. Nothing you can do apart from doing the normal unpaid case after 4 days.
To all sellers - Set your buyer blocks, always do unpaid cases and NEVER leave false positives.

As a seller I am not sure I want to worry myself with a buyers good or bad habits. I would not want to spend part of my day checking to see if a buyer's feedback was good or bad. Then if it was I would worry about sending the parcel and cause stress I do not need.

It will never happen of course, but a seller's performance, besides feedback, is monitored and displayed by way of those annoying little stars. Perhaps the playing field could be levelled out a bit by eBay implementing something similar for buyers.
We've got some grubby, opportunistic and unconscionable sellers to thank for the current status quo anyway in my opinion. The majority pay the piper for the minority.

I think the system of a seller giving a non paying buyer a strike is a good one.
The bottom line here is if a buyer doesn't do the right thing, then it would be good if no seller gave them any feedback at all, that way their score would be zero, where it should be.
On the law of averages though, most buyers do pay occasionally and so their score will go up when they do that.
What I would like to see is what used to happen years back in that if a seller gave a neg, it took one off the score. The result was some buyers were into negative scores.
Now, as sellers can no longer give a neg (and I understand the reason for that, it was used as a blackmail tool by too many sellers) then a logical next step would be any buyer who gets a strike against them should have one point deducted from their score.
That way, we would in fact get a fair feel for how people were doing. So the buyer who didn't pay for their last 20 purchases would soon be losing score rapidly.
I don't think showing how many strikes are against a buyer is the best idea. I used to think it might be but now I think more about it, I realise it would be a turn off for buyers.
Maybe a better idea would be for ebay to show a person's feedback score (calculated using the system I outlined) plus the number of purchases made over the last 12 months.
So if you saw someone with eg 80 purchases but only 5 positive feedback from sellers in that time, well, it might make you wonder.
Feedback is voluntary I know but most sellers do give it.

With all the guff eBay puts on sellers, sellers should have the right to leave neg feedback for a poor buyer, that option should never have been removed.

People have been shoulding on me all my life.
eBay removed it, and have progressively added more buyer prejudice protection since. Wishing and shoulding are hardly likely to change their mind.
