Sending a laptop overseas

Does a package with a laptop have to be marked 'dangerous goods' on the declaration because it contains lithium batteries? I am allowed to send it, but Australia Post is giving me conflicting info when I ask them about the form.

I don't sell internationally. In Australia I sell a reasonable number of notebooks. I run the battery down before packaging and (rightly or wrongly) don't declare the packages as 'dangerous goods'.  While it's not relevant to your case  I also don't offer express post on notebooks which in Oz keeps the packages in the back of a truck rather than the hold of a plane.  No problems so far.

Ah,  yes but no,  oz post actually sends normal parcels by air as well,   if they have capacity on pre booked planes,  normal parcels also go, up up and away.
