Should I be Worried about This Situation?

Today we sold two BIN items, same item but in two different colours. Transactions happened just a few minutes apart. They are only $7 items. They were both paid instantly using paypal.

They were bought by the same buyer with same emaill address, name and mailing address.

But under two different IDs.

The two IDs start out with "mel" then the characater sequence after that looks a bit odd. Could be guest IDs I guess. Can't post the IDs on here of course.

Both IDs were opened just yesterday (10th Jan) and are both zero FB.

We will be using regular letters to mail them as we can't afford to do tracking on such cheap items. But we thought we would mail them out in two separate envelopes (2x stamps) so at worst it will be difficult to claim both did not arrive. Highly unlikely. So if they claim INR then likely only for one rather than both if we had combined them.

Are there any angles on this I may not have thought of?

Probably not worth losing much sleep over, but just seemed a little odd to us.

Should I be Worried about This Situation?

Could be trying to get some runs on the board for both accounts.

For non registered items I usually take a pic of all articles sent at the post office after they have been post marked that shows date together with receipt.

The date showing for the creation of the IDs is likely to reflect PST which lags EST.

The user ID with the odd character sequence sounds exactly like the automated user ID names that are generated by eBay.

Nothing at all to indicate any thing other than guest purchases.

Not odd.

Guest purchases.

Nothing suspicious that I can tell.

OK thanks cats.

Just my suspicious mind these days I guess.

All these recent policy changes make me more suspicious of buyers than I really need to be.

They really do introduce a whole new level of antagonism (perhaps not the right word??) between buyers and sellers.

UR right be grateful for two sales paid instantly.

IMO the new eBay policies are sooooooo very destructive in relation to building an environment that encourages and rewards trust and respect between buyers and sellers.

I think alot of sellers, including myself, are "jumpy" as a consequence Cat Sad

Yep agree... Case in point right here.

Rather than just accepting this as two simple sales (as your rightfully pointed out), I became rather suspicious of something that was slightly out of the ordinary and was trying to think of angles that the buyer might attempt a scam.

Every time we hear "bing-bong" (message chime) on one of our phones now, rather than think of it as a simple question we need to respond to we immediately think "oh no what now?". Almost to the point where we don't want to hear the "bing-bong" any more as it creates stress.

Maybe forget about the "Bing" and just go straight to the "Bong" it might help relieve the stress
