Payment should just be instant or the FVF shouldn't be deducted till payment is made.

Ebay needs to sort out its negative feedback issue - I had a buyer with zero negative feedback win an auction & while Ebay has slapped me up for "fees", the buyer hasnt paid & refuses to respond to efforts to communicate. With further investigation I discvover she does it ALL the time!! Despite that I had to leave "positive" feedback in order to even be able to post a warning to others.

She needs to be bounced out & blacklisted. Between people like her, the fees being ratcheted up & the fabbit warren of Ebay "help", I'm close to giving my stuff away instead of being penalised for it ๐Ÿ˜•

The ability to leave a big red dot for a buyer will not help you in this situation because you cannot see that red dot before a buyer bids or Buys-it-now. By the time you can see they have already bought and probably not paid.

The much better option for you is to make sure you have your blocks in place to block buyers/bidders who have 2 or more non-payment strikes in the past 12-months against their account. This way they will not be able to bid or buy your items at all.

When someone does not pay after 4-days you can open an unpaid item dispute. After a further 4-days if they still have not paid you can close the dispute. Doing this will register an unpiid item strike on their account. And you will have your FVF refunded.

2 or more strikes for you or any other seller will mean they can no longer buy from you, well not for 12-months anyway.

Then you can relist your item and simply move on no worries. Works for us.

This red herring keeps getting flogged here.

If a seller gets enough negatives they are eventually closed down.

If a buyer were to get enough negatives surely Ebay would close them down as well as they state they want an enjoyable experience for all on their level playing field.  HAHAHA HAHAHAHA!

Through over twelve years of selling on Ebay We only issued two negatives for buyers, but lately there are many many buyers who are leaving low DSR's and negatives purely because they are protected. They leave false or defamatory comments and most are not removed. And now we need to pay extra for  the priviledge of being abused. We have slow paying strike blocks in place but it does not stop those playing games.

Just recently we received 12 low DSR's from one customer because a purchase was late. That included item not as described, high postage charges etc. And we are not allowed to comment on this. It has meant that we miss out on extra free listings, so therefore our ability to trade out of the situation is compromised and the person doing this is not able to be held accountable.

If they were stopped by ebay because their account was suspended, closed or restricted a lot of this problem would go away. Just like the rogue sellers on ebay are dealt with.

If Ebay will not reintroduce negatives for buyers they need to take some real and effective action against serial non payers or schill bidders.

If a person has received 30 comments in two months about non completion of sales, bid withdrawals, non communication then why does Ebay not see there is a problem there. Surely the algorythyms show a problem, rather than restricting a person with an odd problem.

I support a whole new approach tostop non payers and slow payers. SOONER RATHER THAN LATER !!!!!!!

now you do know that regardless of what your item states, a buyer has upto 4 days to pay before a dispute can be opened?

The trouble with requiring immediate payment is that when your buyer wants to purchase multiple items they are forced to pay for each one individually as they go. Each one of these transactions costs you an extra 30-cents from PayPal as they each become a separate transaction.

2.4% + 30-cents for each transaction.

If they combine them and pay together then just 2.4% + 30-cents one time.

So eg 3 items costs you an extra 60-cents.

I don't think its worth it to do this.

If instant payment is a requirement, they haven't bought it until they pay. The buyer can't go through checkout without paying. The item remains listed until paid for. There is no need to open a dispute as if they don't pay, eBay don't consider the sale has happened.

The only downside is the lack of ability to combine and the payment MUST be through Paypal.
