It happened to me again!
While listing today 3 items went into the unsold area when they were sold.
So I ended up with 3 relisted items that had sold.
To end them would mean a neg number to my rating as a seller.
So I have had to make new listings to replace an eBay malfuntion!

If you manually ended the relisted sold item BEFORE it ended and no-one bought it, then it's ending the listing, not cancelling the sale. If someone bought the relisted sold item and then you had to cancel it because you no longer had it, then it counts as a defect.

Ummm, no.
To end them would indicate that you ended them. Unless you sold more than you had.

How do you figure that? I ended several items the other day because there were only a few hours to go on the listing, so couldn't edit them and there were glaring mistakes in them. I fixed the mistakes and relisted them. I also ended a listing once because the item got broken (one of my pet sheep decided to chew it). There was a bid on it, but I was still able to end it. The bidder would have received an email stating that the listing had been ended and the reason why. As there was no transaction, they couldn't leave feedback.
Only way you might get a neg is if someone bought them and then you couldn't deliver the goods. You don't get a negative rating for ending a listing. You can end a listing at any time for a multitude of reasons.

How do you figure that?
This is what it says in My eBay after the last time I did it.
Canceled transaction
Cancelled transactions (out of stock or sold to someone else) | 0.12% | 1 |
Look simple to figure to me.

If you got that message it's because you cancelled the transaction AFTER the person had won/bought it. Cancelling a transaction and ending a listing early are 2 entirely different things.

This is the issue! Spot on!
The same item was in the sold section + the unsold at the same time.
Then the sold item gets relisted because it is in the unsold section, when it is really sold.
The eBay computor corrects the eBay malfuntion after, say, 5 min and I am...........
But in the sold section it does tell me that the item has been relisted and that is why I know that something is amiss with the listing.
