Yes I had two items listed and for the last two hours of those listings no-one could watch, bid, or do anything (I know this because I couldn't either and I asked my daughter to try and she couldn't see them or even log in either). Apparently because the site remedied itself 20 minutes before my auctions ended, eBay are saying the auctions were technically concluded okay. But I'm sure many of the watchers and potential bidders had left by then. So my items worth circa $200 and $150 went very cheap.
Thanks for not giving a toss eBay. Back to counting your money.....
Oi Robert !
You may need to vent at eBay. These are member to member discussion boards.
However I am sorry to hear that you were disadvantaged by yet another tech glitch......very frustrating
Having said that it is interesting to note that one of your items attracted a bid ONE SECOND from the end of the auction which would seem to indicate that it may have reached it's maximum interest level !

Hi again Robert.
I do understand your frustration.
However as a dinosaur in the world of the net I am prepared to accept that these things happen.
I have listed items which have made less than half what I expected & yet had others make three times what I valued them at......
swings & merry go rounds!.....one of the joys of listing items for auction.
Remember....money lost ...nothing lost.....confidence lost.....everything lost !!!
Works for me !!!

The last second bid was likely a bid sniper program that could have been set in days ago.
I too had an item which I think would have gone for $50 (because of the number of watchers and 2 of which I suspected were past customers who bid on the last night) but went for $4. I set low min bids and if it sells low under normal circumstances so be it - but the other night it was E-bay's fault.
E-bay has set in place a regime where-by it projects the sentiment that "we are a business 100% - the money is all it's about". Thus if people lose money due to something which is E-bay's fault they have every right to complain and be compensated.
As someone who has been forking out quite a lot of fees lately I'm losing my patience with problems with the ebay system such as them not aligning their item specifics worldwide yet in some categories such as the one I sell in (dumping all sub-item specifics into one generic genre) + these constant idiotic one size fits all changes they keep making such as the 6 month Paypal refunds.
I the past I would have given Ebay the beneift of the doubt on these glitches but now my sentiment toward it has changed. Google any article on EB/PP and more often than not it will be followed by comments of people who have lost patience. A lot of negative vibes out there on EB and these glitches just add to the anger/frustration.
