That little bell up the top in my ebay is saying the wrong thing.

Has anyone else noticed if you hold the cursor over the bell, it will bring up items that you sold and posted months ago.

It will say " your item sold and you got paid - ship now.

What's the point in having this little bell if it can't be accurate - good one ebay.

I know, it's ridiculous, isn't it? I've got stuff showing in there that I bought weeks ago that have already been delivered!

For me when i read a notification it un-highlights, but can still see every other notification.

It only shows me up to date reminders.   eg, anything that's been paid and I haven't sent ?    Or items I'm watching currently .....

For me this little bell shows a number within a day or two of however many items Ive sold / watch (ending soon)... I click it and for each item I can go the the item or it says "turn off" (notifications for this item), and I turn it off.  If i need to do something with the item still, I leave it on.

The reminder works well for me. Never had something come up weeks or months later.

Other sellers including me are not having this problem.    This may be because I always make the item as posted.   If you are not in the habit of marking your sold items as posted, or giving them tracking nos, I imagine that they will keep showing until you go through them and "turn off"

The thing I like about that bell most is that if I simply switch off all the current notifications, eBay tells me I'm "all caught up", so, by deleting things from my eBay "to do" list, I feel like I'm making genuine progress.....

Yep Digi, that's fine so long as it's working properly.........!!!!!

Me, I'd just love to find a way of getting rid of the stupid thing "cos all it's doing is doubling up on what's in my various lists (or been deleted) already - a complete waste of space IMHO, at least give me the option to have it or not.
