The new add item specifics on under $50.00 opals, is ridiculous.

Does eBay realise that a lot of people are leaving because of this ridiculous over describing a 10, 20 $ opal. Shape, size, weight,  colour, field and treatments is all that is required. I think this decision is over administered, I will be reducing the amount of items due to time that will be added to listing and revising items. Big loss in fees for eBay.

Please supply evidence of people "leaving".

I do agree that the item specifics are painful, but if you want to sell, you will complete them.

Ebay will not care whether you sell here or not. You are not a big volume seller and are one of  187 million users of the site.

You've got 65 items - it's really not a big deal.

Not really. You aren't selling millions of dollars a year. Yes, you have had consistent sales over the last 3 months, but you leaving, or reducing the amount of items you have listed, is not going to cause ebay any grief. They won't notice one bit. You will only hurt yourself. People clearly want your stuff, why would you reduce your listings?

Facebook now is worried and the miners are leaving ebay in droves. Lots of small fish do add up.

38 fields for a $ 10 stone. Over the top. I agree for a 2ct sapphire you need certificates and specifics etc.   And lots of miners are leaving because with there lack of computer skills and time for admin. And eBay are looking at policy because of the worldwide backlash. Lots of small fish leaving does matter to their share price etc, just look at Facebook lost 480billion in one day because people are leaving platform. So my $4000 in fees for twelve months multiplied by millions will matter to their profit.
