The obligatory Xmas / New Year "Where's my item??" drop-kick...

So, I did everything right: put the store in "holiday mode" from Dec. 22 to Jan. 9, and extended the handling time on all items to 10 business days.

Annnnnd just got a borderline-abusive message from some droog demanding to know where his item is, and threatening an INR dispute and negative feedback if it doesn't arrive immediately...

He claimed it had been almost a month since he purchased - try Sunday, Dec. 24th. Monday and Tuesday were public holidays (Christmas Day & Boxing Day), as was the following Monday (New Year's Day). Over and above the "holiday mode" notice clearly displayed on each item, I'm still within the 10 business day handling time specified on the item.

I got a bit pro-active, and had a nice chin-wag with an eBay Customer Service rep via Live Chat, who assured me that the INR dispute would be settled in my favour, and the neg removed. Then I replied to the valued customer, explaining the "holiday mode" and "10 business day handling time" concepts, thoughfully including a screen-shot of the notice eBay displayed on every item stating "The seller is away until 09 Jan 2018. There may be a delay in processing your order".

Needless to say, he went on the "blocked" list quicker than you can say "compulsory birth control".

Seriously...

not to mention that 29th Dec was Aust Post Picnic and there were no deliveries that day.

Obviously a slow reader or a non-reader! Didn't see the holiday notice ( very difficult to miss it IMO) or the 10 day handling time.
There seems to be a trend of 'Buy it now" and expecting the item in their hands within 10 minutes....

The joys of taking a holiday, but still expecting your business to continue.
