I have been dealing on Ebay since 2005 and over the last 3 months have had nothing but trouble selling and buying. I pay straight away for my purchases and these sellers dont even get back to me. I have had no items sent, items that were told were in stock then after paying they tell me they are on order and buyers trying to get items for cheaper than what they bid. Its been a complete nightmare. I now am waiting for a purchase that I paid for 9 days ago, sent 2 emails and no response, now yesterday they marked it posted with a tracking number and after checking with Postal, no number exists so it looks like I have been ripped off again. I live in Melbourne and it was supposed to come from Melb, but I got a parcel from China I purchased on the same day

" Cut it out, imo "
Do you only post on the boards to complain and lecture instead of providing assistance ?

Totally unnecessary in my opinion
Hostile, imo
A chance to wound and vent, imo
Nasty, imo
Cut it out, imo
and hint: the insertion of smiley faces in no way excuses or disguises and in fact could be regarded as deliberately provocative
Sorry, but this is a discussion forum; people contributing are not paid, some friendly (the emoticons) banter should be taken in that spirit.
If you want straight professional answer go to Live Help. (Although some people may find this statement exceedingly funny ๐ )
But here, as things are, people are free to discuss and take a friendly dig at somebody who said something that makes no sense, or misspells word such away that it changes the meaning of the sentence. It is just normal human discussion and people should be able laugh at themselves. I have been on receiving end many times and am the first to laugh at my spelling mistakes. ๐

Really? A parcel from China came on the same day you purchased it? Almost too good to be true ?:|
I have been dealing on Ebay since 2005 -
Then you should be aware of the tools eBay provides to protect you from bad sellers/buyers - start using them ๐
Greencat, I believe 1chump was referring to this part of their opening post I now am waiting for a purchase that I paid for 9 days ago, sent 2 emails and no response -in that on the same day as they ordered from the seller in Melbourne they also ordered from a seller in China which they have now received those items but still not received from the Melbourne seller.
Sometimes you do need to re read what was written to put it into context.
I must say that I have been really happy with nearly every purchase I have made so I am sorry that you are having problems 1Chump. I don't know what you are purchasing but if it is similar type items then it just may be a problem with the items themselves being rare or hard to get or drop sipping like others have said.

As a buyer I have had a couple of the things you complain about.
Seller claiming to be in Oz, item comes from China, I deal with this in feed back with a neg and comment about false item location and slow delivery.
Items not in stock are dealt with a INR dispute and a neg
Items not turning up are dealt with in the same way.
Its not hard

eBay needs to enforce the ruling that the item's physical location is the designated location, and not the address of the drop shipper.
There's currently a tonne of gear listed as located in Australia, but which in fact is located in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan.

How can eBay possibly know where the items are coming from unless buyers report the seller? There is the "report" link on each item; people need to report item location misrepresentation and eBay will act if they get number of complaints. They cannot act on just single report as that could easily be abused by competitors.
