I have a buyer who purchased two identical items from me in two separate transactions.
They have paid for one of them straight away.
But they contacted me about the other one saying they made a mistake and only wanted one.
They asked me to cancel the other unpaid one.
I raised a cancellation request, but they have not clicked AGREE. I sent them a message asking them to complete the cancellation by clicking AGREE. But no response.
If they never do this action what happens?
Does it self-cancel after some time?
Do I lose my FVF if they never click agree?

If they decline then call ebay and they will be able to read the messages between you saying they do not want the other one and they will credit the fees manually.

I have one of these at the moment, virtually the same circumstances - request to cancel was sent midday on the 16th January, but it still says awaiting buyer's response, and the eBay help page says it has to be closed manually if the buyer doesn't respond after 7 days, and that you have to close it before 60 days from date of sale. (Mine's been 7 days since the request was sent, by my calculation, but I don't have an option to close yet).

Will do, I'm hoping it's just a matter of 7 days being calculated a little differently to the 4 days for UPI disputes, and that the option to close will appear by tomorrow.

I had one buyer who said she mistakenly bought my item and asked for a cancellation, and then clicked not agree to the cancellation.
Could I then still have opened a UPI? She never paid.

I just noticed that my case switched from "Awaiting buyer's response" to "Buyer hasn't responded" with a Take Action link (instead of view details). Once I clicked Take Action, the next screen said that the case can be closed manually on the 8th day after it was opened. After choosing to close the case, I had to pick the reason (first one is transaction was completed successfuly - no FVF credit, second option gives the FVF credit).
