this happened to my daughter, what would you do
she purchased 3 separate small items that was $4.00 each with free postage that went into a large letter $1.40 very light weight .
now what would you do as a seller they can all fit and weigh in a large letter under the 125g weight would you send it in 1 large letter or separately or send it in 1 large letter and give a refund for postage or no refund

my son buys 3 items 1 was $50 another was $15 and another was $90 all free post ,all can fit in a 500g satchel together. same seller. even if you only brought 1 item it woukd still go in a 500g satchel
a b or c or d thanks no comunication from buyer to seller . as a seller what would you do.
a= send 3 separate parcels
b= send them all in 1 parcel
c= send them all in 1 parcel and offer a refund on postage costs.
d= send them all in 1 parcel and not offer a refund on postage costs.
a b c or d only
Whatever.

As a seller if it fits in the one parcel then yes, what's the point sending it any otherway unless paypal is involved in the sale.
And again how can anyone refund on free postage?
Clearly what you are trying to say here really is that your son or daughter has paid $4 x 3 items with free postage and if these items are sent in one package then your son/daughter wants a refund on the postage but really wants a discount on the items because she/he bought 3 of them, nothing really to do with a refund on postage now is it Joe because your kids really wanted a discount on the items and thought that they deserved a discount, am I close?

first it was
"she purchased 3 separate small items that was $4.00 each with free postage",
then it is
"if it helps everyone 3 different products 3 different prices all free post",
then it becomes
"my son buys 3 items 1 was $50 another was $15 and another was $90 all free post"
. . . . . then all I have got is this video link (go to 1 minute 30 seconds and watch for about the next 30 seconds)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9czBBKof7Yo
I cant help but think that this whole three items sent in one envelope sounds a little familiar, and then I went back to this thread

I'm not passing judgement on whether joeth has the right to start this thread or not, nor questioning his motives, and my answer is b.

Yes I would chose B also but I wouldn't have brought the part about giving a refund on postage into the equation as FREE means FREE,even though it would have been put into the selling price but then that's up to your kids to decide whether to buy or not simple.

Yes k1ooo it does sound familiar and I give the same answer as I did before.
"The PC here will say if 3 items paid for in one payment must be sent together - however if you buy multiple DVD off JB or Sanity they will often sent as multiple package as the can come from different locations or times - but what would JB know about selling DVDs.
To cover your rear put in your T&C that combined items maybe split. eg
"Please note your order may be split into multiple orders, and delivered separately. Each time your order is split, you will receive an email notification. No additional shipping charges applied to split orders." "
(Please Joe don't tell its not DVDs I know that part is only there for context)
So my questions to Joe are
1. What were the sellers T&C
2. How much had the seller factored in their "Free" post for actual postage, otherwise how can we tell if they are postage pirates or not?
When eBay hit us all with FVF fees on postage they (eBay) lost all interest in Postage pirates and what sellers charged for postage, and as a consequence the boards were no longer littered with tales of Postage Pirates (Thank goodness, about the only good thing to come about from fees on postage) but I will give to you Joe, you have found a whole brand new way to bore us all about postage costs. Well done!!!

joeth, having re-read this whole thread, I would like to withdraw my answer on the basis that I am not in a position to provide you with an answer as you wrote that you want answers from sellers and I haven't sold anything for near on 18 months. I think that would disqualify my answer (but not the funny video LOL)
Geeeze, I only bought a high priced item yesterday to avoid the situation where any poster could claim that I have no right to comment on threads because of eBay inactivity. I made sure it was from China so I could be suitably qualified to comment on "China" threads. It was also free-post, so I can comment on free-post threads. Oh, I should have bought two of the items and seen if the seller gave me a refund on postage . . . . . . . will be right back in a few minutes.

There are still alot of postage pirates on ebay, just yesterday saw and item that will go as a small letter but the seller has it going in a 500g satchel for $12.95 and 5 times the selling price lol.
