My Christmas wish, is to have all Australian small and Medium size business to be sucessful in selling and getting a good resturn for their efforts that they put in.
I am finding myself racking my brain on how to do this. I find that ebay just keeps screwing us over, especially in the last year. I must admit, I have been living in an ebay bubble for the past 7 years, and all these changes to the website are affecting my sales, and my customers and I am thinking how can we make this work. I read forums and what other ebays are thinking. I find myself going around in circles
I can not believe that ebay can take a comission on postage costs, and now having this refund policy. These costs then must be passed onto the buyers, and it's unfair, plus the comission ebay takes on the sales that we make.
I believe that it is very hard to change peoples habbits. You get a lot of traffic through ebay, and other sites with similar listing don't even come close.
It is like the monopoly on Woolworths and Coles, the Aussie farmers and small retailers get screwed. I have thought about having my own website, but again, money goes into marketing and virtual realestate, to find your shop on top of the search engines.
My Christmas wish, is to have a Savy Australian IT person to start up a website similar to ebay without all the BS, and that the buyers change their habbits, and it's the new phenomenon.
Thank you for reading my rant! It just upsets me that we have made ebay what it is today, and that there is no loyalty (which is hard to find these days).
