What are the disadvantages to sell using a new account compare to old acct

I just started selling on ebay 3 weeks ago, but I registered a new account for it and have already purchased subscriptions.

My question is, This account I am using right now is member since 2009, and the selling account only 3 weeks old. so are there any disadvantages to use a new account for selling on ebay?? for example, ranking in search results and/or disadvantages may have on the new account from qualifing as a powerseller ?

As this account has very little feedback, not many.

Search rankings are not based on length of service as far as I'm aware. I could be wrong as nobody knows what the algorithm for 'best' match is, probably not even anybody at eBay. Most experienced buyers don't search that way anyway. They have more sense.

A new 0 feedback account could present problems if the items are high value. Many members would be wary about buying expensive items from a new 0 seller.

I would worry about powerseller when you come to that hurdle. All it really means is you lose the 30 free listings a month. If you're concerned now, presumably you expect to achieve it soon, at which time you will have proved the success of your business model and can join the ranks of the rest of us who pay to list.
