What happens when you report a buyer for abuse and inappropriate communication on Ebay.

After reporting a buyer for very nasty and inappropriate communication I received an email from Ebay stating they have taken the appropriate action, but due to privacy policies they can not give me further information.  Does anyone know what actions Ebay take?  I hope it is dealt with appropriately as there were some really horrible things emailed that would make your hair stand on end!!!!  I have also looked further on this person's feedback and found others stating aggression problems and 'physcopath' was actually used to describe this person.

The member would have been sent an email from ebay saying do not do that you norti thing or we will take action on your account.

That is about the worst they will do and it then depends if that member is game to try and message again and risk more reports where very little if anything will happen.

It took me a visit to the police with a copy of all the messages from a seller before ebay took action on their account and a call from the police to the seller to stop messaging me.

eBay do nothing . I have a member who has left pornographivcal material on my site .i have written to them 17 times asking them to remove it but nothing. I get referred to in life as being to giving but I constantly get abused, threatened and targetted on eBay and report members but eBay do nothing. So I think its a waist of time. I am resolved now to buyers doing what ever they want.,I have to stay on eBay because of all the lovely transactions that do go well. But I am hammered.

P.s and those letters or emails ebay send saying they are looking into the matter are computer generated. They do nothing. Half the time its insulting because they get yu name wrong in the email response. Sad but true.

There are avenues. The defamation one comes to mind.

I think writing to someone 17 times as one poster has said, is concerning in itself. At some point you either have to ignore such people and move on, or if the behaviour is unlawful take other action including legal if required.
