I sold a tshirt and the buyer has returned it to me in it's original packaging, asking for a refund.
On inspection of my listing, I realise I've given an ok for refunds if the item is returned within 14 days.
So there's nothing wrong with the item, the buyer just doesn't want it.
My question is - when I issue the refund to the buyer, do I refund the postage too? In which case, I will be out of pocket. Or does the buyer wear the postage? Obviously as they returned the item in it's original packaging, there's only one lot of postage, which was the original postage that the buyer paid upon purchasing the tshirt.
Thanks for your help!

Don't worry, I've totally confused myself.
Of course i refund the postage.

My personal rules are - change of mind return (i.e. there is nothing wrong with the item, the buyer just doesn't want it), refund of item price only, which I've made a note of in my return policy (I'm not prepared to pay postage costs for someone to window shop, in a nutshell).
If there's something wrong with the item, full refund including any return postage costs.

I agree with Ghost.

I agree as well.
It was a change of mind, and perhaps if it hurts the back pocket - they may think better of it in the future.
BTW - if you have a return policy - state in that if you want the buyer to wear the cost of post both ways, otherwise it can be a bit of a grey area and if a neg is left you will be able to refer to your policy to get it removed.
