Why does Ebay continue to allow sellers to put the link or name of their Facebook page on listings. I have been a member for 4 years and always obeyed the rules but I am tired of seeing people using ebay not as a selling forum but as an advertisement for their facebook pages where they sell the exact same items without the fees that honest ebay sellers pay! It's time Ebay did something about these sellers as it always seems to be the honest sellers who lose!

If this is against the rules, I guess that eBay aren't aware of individual sellers doing this and so rely on other users to report the listings when they come across them.

I would say this is against the rules as it is promoting sales outside of ebay and avoiding seller fees!

i think so too, but I am sleep deprived and really shouldn't be trying to verify the rules atm LOL
but I guess with so many listings that eBay can realistically only become aware of any breaches if people notify them of the breaches.

You're not even allowed to mention or reference social networking sites in any way - that includes Twitter and Pinterest, which in themselves don't facilitate sales. It's interesting because you can mention or link to any other site where items aren't being sold...but not if a lot of people are continually paying attention to constantly updating content, I guess.
