Why does Ebay continue to allow sellers to break Victorian and Australian law

Why does Ebay continue to allow sellers to break Victorian and Australian Law by allowing them to put items up for auction and stating that they may be removed at any time as they are advertised elsewhere.  In particular Vehicles.

You never used to be able to say that in eBay listings, but no-one can find the policy that states it any more. One can only assume they removed that policy.

Which particular laws would they be?

Bearing in mind that an eBay 'auction' is not legally an auction, but an invitation to treat

under both Vic. and Aust 'laws' regarding auctions the item belongs to the Vendor until the final hammer falls, which in eBay's case is the last second of the 'auction' (or as a Timed Auction, the end of the Time)

until then, by ''law'' the vendor can withdraw the item for sale

so, you see, no ''law'' written or percieved is being ''broken''

SHE, Putney, has apparently a lot more experience than you on the ins, outs and legalities of this place.

Once again, you are assuming. Instead of using a neutral gender, like 'they', if you don't know.

I cancelled an auction tonight with 3 minutes to go. I realised that somehow it had been listed twice and wasn't taking the chance of someone bidding at the last second. I chose to cancel that one has it wasn't due to auto relist, whereas the other one was, plus it has several watchers. Not sure how I was able to have a duplicate listing, but it was there.

Up the top of every page is a link called "help and contact". I suggest you click on it and read it before once again, giving out the wrong information.
