Why does eBay allow this?

Why does eBay allow people to sell their PS5/Xbox X preorders, I mean what kind of human being does this anyway, I have reported a bunch but there are just too many, I will keep at it but why does eBay allow this, makes no sense to enable these from profiting from people.

Where do I say I don't care?  It was a genuine question to find out what your complaint was.  As I don't sell on ebay I can assure you I am not the kind of person who does "this".

These people don't own the item, they don't have physical possession of it, there is zero guarantee they they can provide said item, any one of these goes against eBay's selling practices, so again why are these sub human piles of excrement allowed to do it.

It must be annoying to find that you have wasted a good rant with such charming language on a complaint with no substance at all.....Preorder is well within the ebay rules.

I suppose we should be grateful that you did not name and shame anyone but yourself.

You have such a lovely way with words.  If you have something to say to Ebay, tell them.  People reading the forums certainly dont need to read your carrying on.  Does it make you feel better??????

What in particular are you objecting to so violently?

The item for sale or the Preorder or something else?

I am glad someone asked. I was genuinely puzzled when I read the post too. I know nothing about xboxes so I didn't really get what was wrong, whether it was the product or maybe someone selling just a box or what.

I am now gathering that the objection is to a pre order. It probably isn't what most people plan for when they think of buying things on ebay, but it seems it is allowable and I'd be pretty sure there must be provision for buyers to get a refund if things go wrong.

I've bought quite a few things on pre order (not on ebay, but some things online, some with real shops). They have varied from big things eg a freezer right down to smaller things on another buying site. Even reserved the block of land our house is now sitting on before it had been released with title etc

I have never had a problem. But you do have to be prepared to wait a little bit, that is all.

PS Dalla, always check out the seller & feedback on ebay but if it seems a genuine Australian seller with a good record, then it should be okay.

I think what OP is objecting to is the apparently common practice (so my son tells me) of people buying up pre-orders and reselling on eBay and other sites at a ridiculous price, which people will buy because they can no longer get them from regular sellers. The new PS5 is due out in November and my son has it on pre-order from a B&M store, so I imagine there are a lot who have bought these up to resell and they are possibly no longer available at the RRP.
