I get an email today saying
"Based on your account information and activity, it looks like user id ....... which is a restricted account is associated with your account."
A few lines later, at this time your account is suspended.
Regards eBay
Please don't reply to this message, it was sent from an address that doesn't accept incoming email
What is going on? They don't even offer a reply button or anything to dispute this, and I have never even heard of that ebay ID, but have not even been given an option to defend myself.
They shut down my store, removed all my listings, and left me high and dry.
When I click on "Customer Support", there isn't even the option to get a 1 time passcode to call them. Just a bunch of "Was this information useful" Tabs.
Has anyone else experienced such poor customers service on here as this?

If you phoned them through any other account or even mention you have other ids you could end up with all of them suspended!

OK, so I speak to them, and they agree that it was a very weak link, but to verify, I need to provide all my documentation AGAIN.
So, she says it's fine to email it in to the email address that I was given. And says that they will get onto it.
I take the time to do it, and this si the reply from eBay.
Thank you for taking the time to send your email. However, the address you sent the email to is no longer available to contact eBay AU customer support.
The best way to contact eBay is to copy the link below into a new browser window. You'll need to sign in with your eBay user ID:
http://ocsnext.ebay.com.au/ocs/cuhome
Please use the search box in the centre of the page to tell us about your issue, or select one of the most common topics. This way, we can recommend the best way for you to contact us and provide you with a better, streamlined experience.
We know your time is valuable, and we appreciate you taking the time to express your concern.

Thanks,

They are really helpful aren't they. That link takes me right back to where I started looking, with no ability to get a number or 1 time passcode.

Well, I think I took the uperhand today!
So, I spend an hour with them on the phone, and they agree that it was a very weak link that was linking my account, and so now that I supplied proof of ID again, they reinstated my account. Of course, the store had been shut down, and I have to build it again from scratch, but they are sorry. Apparently!
30 minutes Later I get this email
Thank you for providing proof of your identity and agreeing to the conditions for reinstatement. We’ve reinstated your account.
As a newly reinstated member, please note that:
- Access to funds from buyer payments will be delayed to promote successful fulfillment.
- To access your funds as quickly as 3 days after eBay confirms delivery, we recommend that you print your shipping label on eBay and ship within 24 hours after your buyer pays.
- When you purchase postage and print shipping labels on eBay, funds for shipping will be available to you immediately (up to $15).
Great!
So now they stuff up, link me to a bad seller, and then punish me for it. They seem to have a really good idea on Customer Service don't they.
Well, I had the shortest phone call I have ever had with them.
So there we have it. All you need to do is state your place, and threaten public action, and they jump right to it. No transfering you . Just action. (Of course that is only if you haven't broken the rules.)
eBay- 0
Me - 1
Hope this helps anyone that finds themselves in a similiar situation to this one.

Excellent result.
It seems you just need to put things in terms they understand - media, bullying, unfair, adverse publicity.
It's good for others, as we now know the sort of leverage eBay will listen bow down to.
