Wrong weight when printing labels

Hi Everyone

I sold something and decided to try the new print labels and have postage fees charged to my eBay account. Only problem is, I put the wight in as 490 gramd instead of 590 grams. So postage was $6.95, but should have been $14.20 (due to being over 500gr and the distance).

I put the item in a post box and its been sent, will Aust Post still deliver it and send me a bill for the difference, or will they hold on to it until I receive some notification from them and go to my local P.O and pay the difference, or will they let it go through ?

Wasn`t trying to rip them off, just an honest mistake

Thank yOU

Generally, what will happen is a bill for the difference, plus a $1.50 processing fee, is sent to the sender, but the buyer should receive the package as normal. (If there are no return address details on an underpaid post item, the recipient is asked to pay for the difference before being able to collect the item).

How was there a distance charge? I thoght you were only meant to use the ebay print label option with the ebay branded satchels which are a flat rate.

Sorry your correct, there will be no distance charge, I wrongly went into the poatage calculator to work out the right cost. It will still be more expensive regardless, so hopefully they just send me a bill

Thanks for your help
