You can have email/chat/phone help for some things, but not others???

I treat eBay customer service like a visit to the bank. I do my best to avoid it by reading relevant material. But when I do need some help, I expect some modicum of assistance. Long wait times accompanied by an estimate on how long it may take to answer an email is fine.

But what I find infuriating is that email/chat/phone help are not available for certain topics, which you have to click through in order to make the options appear. Why is help limited to some topics and not others? Even worse, my question touches of a couple of different things that makes it different to pigeon hole into a single topic. Would be great to get some actual help...

Continuation as a reply post...because no edit option after my session expired???

I will be looking at alternatives to eBay after almost a decade of use. Although alternative websites/apps..say Carousell, reddit, Gumtree to name a few.. are likely to provide similar levels of assistance, at least they are free and/or easier to use.

You don't have to pick a category that matches your issue. Just find one where the contact details are available. Phone and live chat are only open during certain hours. Email is pretty much a waste of time.

Other people have gone to other sites because they are "free". They usually all come back because thos other sites don't have the traffic that this one does.

Making threats to leave eBay in the forum is pointless. EBay don't read the forums. If I had a dollar for everyone that came in to make the grand announcement that they're leaving eBay, I'd never have to work again.
