Buyer has advised me that when she received my invoice, she tried to pay for my item using paypal she was unable to do so as paypal msg stated item has already been paid for. I have not received payment, buyer said has contacted ebay 3 days ago but no response as yet. Anything I can do? Going away for a couple of weeks and need to get it sorted.

As it appears to be an issue at the paypal end, then not sure that ebay will get involved. Think paypal is the first port of call.
I would ring paypal myself to gauge if there is any issue with your own account to be 100% sure, I would also triple check the email addy in your listing to make sure it is your correct paypal one.
I would also resend the invoice just in case it was an invoice link glitch.
As it could have been a temporary paypal glitch, its probably worth encouraging the buyer to retry making payment atter new invoice is sent.
If no resolution, then I would request that the buyer contact directly paypal to sort out by phone, so it can be resolved asap.
