Imastawka gave smart answers, FYI - " have you heard of Google........." and "have you read the comments".
My question was legitimate, as it was not answered by the previous comments.
I have shared what I have discovered to help any others who are searching for the same answer as me. I hope they are free to ask anything on this open forum without retribution.

Maybe you did not get the answers you wanted because the thread is 6 years old....things change!! The answers were correct at the time.
You can ask anything you like but whether you get the answers you want is another matter. People have different opinions on whether their information is what you are looking for.
Where is the retribution?

I asked a legitimate question, bringing the topic back to the top, opening it therefore to new comments.
I did not expect unhelpful comments such as "haven't you heard of Google........." and "read the old comments".
It was mean and unnecessary. I am new to this forum, but not to others. I know that some stalwarts can be intolerant of newcomers. I am new, but I won't be talked down to, not by anyone.
Not to worry, I have answered my own question, and I do hope that it can help others in the future.
Good luck with your forum - I will be a silent reader, not contributor, from now on.

It is not helpful to bring a very old topic back to the top....as I have already said, things change, especially on ebay.
Even if you find an old thread it is far better to start a new one to get the most up to date information.
You answered your own question to your own satisfaction but the information had already been given in other posts.

Thank you. I was not aware that finding an old thread and resurfacing it was not helpful. Now I know.
My question was not answered in previous threads - HOW do you go about sending perfume through the mail?
The new answer is -
1/ Register a business account with Australia Post
2/ Contact their eParcel dept, who will assign an account manager to walk you through the process.

3. Provided you post at least 1000 parcels per annum.
THAT bit would be an issue for a lot of sellers.

Yes, I agree. The volume is excessive.
on โ20-04-2020 06:43 PM
But if you get your own DGL the number of parcels does not apply but the initial cost may also be prohibitive.
Swings and roundabouts?
You did say you did not care how many hoops you had to jump through to be able to post perfume....posters have tried to be helpful even if you do not recognise the fact.

I believe the Dangerous Goods License you are referring to is for the physical transport of dangerous goods - driver training. https://www.sa.gov.au/topics/business-and-trade/licensing/mining/transporting-dangerous-goods
It's not the same thing as the Australia Post eParcel Contract and training which relates specifically to the packaging of Perfume and the like, so that it is safe for postage through the Australia Post network.
