After looking through the eBay fee structure for selling I feel sorry for people with eBay stores. This fee structure must be an absolute can of worms for businesses to work out their bottom line when the fees change from product to product and category to category.
This must cause a lot of work for everyone especially when the goal posts are constantly moving? It is getting like bank fees..
Hypothetically speaking if eBay, or another big player made a platform like eBay with a fee structure ssomething like this;
- No listing fees
- No Monthly or annual fees
- No (postage now included so eBay make money) fee
- No other fee at all
- Just one flat 8% fee for all products that would be capped once you hit $260
Would that be easier and a better way for you store owners?
Maybe if enough store owners answer this eBay may take notice.
Cheers
Dean

Only a small % of eBayers visit these boards and 'eBay' do not read, respond or react to threads that try to garner support for them to change their mind.
That's what I think.

You wont get 1000 replies and if you did why would eBay care? Whilst it is the #1 selling platform eBay unfortunately can do whatever they want.

Actually Sir Sales, eBay are at least readng the Seller Release Forum, where as you say there are a substantial amount of threads discussing this.
How do I know?
Cos the other day, about 20 minutes after I made a post "up there" I received a phone call from Midvale UT eBay, and the man commented on the contents of that post.
*sneaks off all embarrassed looking*
(He wasn't going mad at me, he was discussing the events that led to me making that post)
Some people can go their whole lives and never really live for a single minute.
