In my catagories the search results seem to show a shortage of sellers in the 1000-10 000 bracket in the top listings. So they seem to be favouring relative newbies of bigger outfits. Cant see how thats an advantage to buyers

I also fear that free listings may be coming to an end. It really feels like ebay are trying to push us small sellers out. I don't think they realize that it's the small sellers that have the interesting and different things. I mean they are the ones that are selling things they own that have been hiding in the back cupboard for 5o years. You know the stuff. The sort of thing you won't get from Big business or Chinese sellers.
It's the different, quirky things that make ebay interesting, not thousands of cheap junk from China. But if that's what ebay now want, then i won't be doing much shopping on here anymore.

Guess what, Easter Saturday and I still have 32 free listings left out of 40. Next week, it will probably be 0 when the leftovers from last month's 3 free relists dry up.

Still waiting for some more free listings. Some of my items in my unsold section will be deleted by ebay if i don't get some promotion free listings before 15th April.
I wish they would give us the easter free listings.

There are no "Easter free listings". EBay give them out when they feel like it, not when people start demanding them. They are not a given and one should not become reliant on them because they could stop them at any time. It's not eBay's fault if you don't relist your oldest unsolds first when the months allocation of 40 free listings comes out.
If the 40 a month aren't enough, create another account.

I always relist my oldest first. The problem is that the 40 free just don't fix the problem. And i don't need to open another account - i already have 8. I am having the same problem on each account. I have about 500 items or so on each account so with 40 free this month and 40 free last month and 100 free a while back, i still have heaps left in my unsold section and some of those are getting close to the 60 day deleting time. Can't afford to list without free listings. Can't afford the cost of a store either. I just need 150 free listings to get me out of the fix i am in.

OK, that's fair enough, but whatever will you do if eBay decides they don't want to have free listing promotions any more? They could pull them at any time. I wouldn't mind betting that they will become less and less frequent untl they stop altogether. Last year they were coming in every 2 weeks, the last few months it's been every 4 weeks. Maybe it will change to every 8 weeks then not at all.
