Hi,
I'm trying to sell a gaming monitor (see item below), but when I do a search by category on ebay for 'gaming monitor' it doesn't seem to be in the list.
Anyone know what the listing should include to show up under that search?
I've just added "most suitable for: light gaming", hope it's not just a delaying in that showing up.
Thanks

It shows up in a search for "gaming moitor" for me, but only after changing some search parameters.
The default search for a used one doesn't show it, because of this:
If I click to view all, or select an item specific that applies to your monitor, it gets included then - these results will vary slightly from person to person, depending on their normal shopping habits.

Hi,
yes thanks same here.
I'm wondering if there's anything I can do so that my item will show up in the initial list - so that my monitor is shown without having to click 'view all results'?
Most of the other excluded stuff that shows up when you click 'view ..' is monitor parts. Why is my monitor classified like that?
My guess is most likely it's some item specific(s), so I've just added some more.
Just wondering if anyone can confirm that's what it is, and if so which ones
Thanks

Not sure, but when I looked at your item you have offered:
Comprehensive Computer Cover from XCover.com - AU $5.74 Opens an information Overlay I am over 18 and have read and agree to the policy terms (including the PDS and FSG). The policy is ...
Are you legally allowed to do that ? I was under the impression it was only available to regstered re-sellers / and new items.
I have not sold in years, so really don't know, probably completely wrong, just thought I would put it out there in case it gets you in strife. Other more experienced sellers would know for sure.

I'm not aware of anything I've done to make that offer appear - it just keeps popping up.
I also don't think I'm the one offering it.
I'm happy to be corrected on any of the above / keen to find out more about this mysterious ad that keeps appearing.

Is no one able to say why my monitor is not listed in the (first rank?) 'monitor' category - by contrast with say the Benq GL2450HM monitor that is listed in that category?
Is there a part in creating the initial ad where you choose the Category the ad is to go in - is it possible that I didn't put the correct details at that point and it can't be revised now / or the option doesn't show in revise?

Sorry, wait a bit, most sellers are working, the boards tend to pick up a bit in the evenings.
I used to sell years ago, but I never really understood the ranking side of things. Just bump your thread if it falls too far down the page
Just checked the Benq one, they have the same insurance thing on the listing as you, so must be eBay generated, sorry to steer you wrong, I will self report my post
