Hi kc,
I had a look at your listings, didn't know what they were (I'm older lady, LOL) ...footy cards I see, however if I was wanting a present of these for my grandsons for example, I'd search for footy cards...yours don't come up. they do if I search for "afl cards", though.
Include more words in your title, like "footy afl cards"
After you do a listing, act as a buyer searching for one, its amazing how sometimes even a simple spelling mistake can ruin your chances.
My daughter once listed some "baby cloths" instead of baby clothes and wondered why she had no lookers.

no offence taken, may you provide an example of which itemsMost specifically, these items have what appear to be excessive prices for postage:

to be fair a bit CQ - I'm a lazy bugger, so if I am posting something for which I want a tracking number, I go the quick and easy route and eBay label it (C&S in the old days) I'm happy to miss out on any sales the extra $3.50 may cost me, but on a $5 book, I don't want to spend 10 minutes packing and filling in paper work etc

I try and stick to the flat rate postage products
this way the products cost the same to post wherever they go to
so for example a book weighing under 500g can usually go in a fklat rate satchel, which through eBay is $7.15 ($825 I think through C&S and the post ioffice - so if you want to add another $1 for bubblewrap or whatever - it is still a long way short of $17
if the book is under 20mm packed - can go as a large letter - if it is C5 size can even go in pre paid envelopes for a bit cheaper too, and if you want tracking, just register as CQ said
lots of book sellers post in envelopes at large letter rates and just wrap the books in gladwrap!
or if you want something more sturdy - ebay search 16mm cardboard mailers

and remember those prices are for the eBay postage label system - if you use Click and send or aus post regular, the prices are more expensive - those are special rates negoptiated for eBay sellers to use in the eBay label system

for your footy cards, another option would be to offer free postage
looks like you charge $1.20 to post them
As a footy card im sure you would just chuck them in a 70c envelope and a plastic card sleeve (not sure what they cost each but it would make sense if thats what the extra 50c is for)
so what may be worth trying is instead of listing a $5 card with $1.20 postage, try listing at $6.20 with free postage.
part of ebays change recently, they said that people who offer free postage would be getting priority in search results (not sure how true this is though)
I used to have all my listings with postage, but recently changed to free postage with higher BIN prices and it works well
Also takes out the DSR star for postage costs
