Shonky, Dodgy, Scammed (indicates a Scammer) How are these tags anything other than "name calling" ? maybe you do not understand the concept.

just as an aside, would you consider that labelling a seller as lacking morals and lacking ethics be name calling?  I mean, in effect it is calling that seller immoral and unethical.

I too loathe non payers. They waste your time, take an item from your listing that someone else could have bought and sometimes cost extra in relisting fees.

However, we do not exactly know what is happening in other people's lives, it is important to keep this in mind.

A number of years back I had a particular non payer.

Sent quite a few emails, no reply, so filed a non payment case and 4 days later closed it, got back the fees charged and relisted the item.

A few days later, the person's mother emailed to say he had been seriously injured in a car crash and was in hospital and described his injuries in pretty graphic detail.

She offered to make the payment, said he still wanted it and sending it would give him something to look at whilst in hospital, which I accepted, and sent on the item.

Taught me a lesson and that is that life is unpredictable and sometimes, just sometimes, things are out of our control.

Take for example, the floods in Townsville or the fires in Tasmania. This could well affect people who have made a purchase but not yet paid and will not pay, because their world has suddenly been turned upside down.

Best to just follow the eBay procedure, get back the fees, relist the item, then decide whether the buyer is a candidate for your BBL.

One sure sign of a BBL candidate is when people buy more stuff and pay others after not paying for an item they bought from me, people like that always get a berth on the BBL..

Iโ€™m not real fussed about NPBโ€™s either, especially thosie who totally ignore you, waste your precious time and as Yeole has said, in many cases prevent you from making sale to someone else - after 8 days itโ€™s a cold case.

But as cautioned, one size does not fit all. We currently have one that was heading that way who then sent a polite note saying he was temporarily embarrassed for funds and asked for a week to pay. It can sometimes end nicely and all it really takes is a bit of communication and then an โ€˜easyโ€™ arrangement for the NPB to eventually honour his bid.

If only theyโ€™d communicate instead of hiding in the blackberry bushes. I think most sellers would help in a constructive and positive way.

Melina.

It is not the same thing. Expressing an opinion of one's behaviour is not the same thing as calling someone a name.  I consider that some people lack morals, and I am entitled to my opinion, that is not name calling. Let's not get pedantic.
