Selling Manager Pro
When you scroll to the blue part, a small pop up appears and shows some junk crappy website. The same thing hapens to me on the community boards over any random word
Does this mean I have a virus or something?
I also have and orange/gret rectangle box that appers on the bottom right corner that I cant get a rid of

I havent used spybot for a while but thats what I would be using.
It sounds like a toolbar (or whatever they are called) added to the internet explorer interface (if thats what yu are using). A lot of free programs will use them to advertise.
If you have installed something recently I would guess that this is what has been done.
As the first replyer said it is a hijacker of some type.

Thing I got the little thing:
adware generic5.kcg
Generic5.KCG is a malicious malware application that deletes important files and makes your computer system or network completely disable. Downloader.Generic5.KCG does not use network resources to spread, but can spread through a network by attaching itself to other computer worms virus. Downloader.Generic5.KCG can also open up a backdoor through which the hacker can gain access to any data stored on your computer, such as personal and financial information. Downloader.Generic5.KCG may also use your PC to perform illegal botnet attacks. Downloader.Generic5.KCG is a dangerous security threat to your PC and has to be executed immediately.
AVG found that as the only one, but Nortons found nothing and neither did Mircosoft Security Essentials
According to that f it attaches to other worms and viruses, might be easier to format the whole computer:_|

Must be another one, still got the same original problem 😞

Download Spybot Search and Destroy or Super Anti Spyware.
They are more specific for removing Spyware and Malware and will find things missed by the others which generally will only search for viruses.
A scan with SSD or SAS will do a better job.
Either will also not conflict with AVG and should be fine with MSE,(no idea on Norton's,which I don't like anyway as it seems to miss to many things or give false alerts).

Spybot found a few, deleted 2 but cant delete 3:
FlashDollars.registryrepair
w3iQ5.fraud
The problem I mentioned on thee thread looks like to have come from these from some place called freeze and runs off the toolbar and browser after I did some googling
But i have to delete these manually. The ones that Sybot deleted, each time I reboot, the computer tries to create the same files so one of the 3 I cannot delete must be recreating them
on 02-11-2012 08:47 PM
After going in safe mode, deleting the files and registry entries, I get the message after reboot over and over
Do i deny the change or allow it?
After all this i still got the same original problem:
any random word
The word 'word' when I scroll over now highlights a link to a pokies site:_|
Might have to do another scan, I am not getting much done today 😞

Still scanning. I am getting a new computer in a couple of weeks so might just save all the stuff I need and then reformat the thing after I get my new laptop

Think I have fixed it, something so simple in the end 😄
There is a program called 'Save As'. it is an add-on to your browser offering great deals
I disabled that and removed it and no more of these words being highlighted with a site being advertised
But at least I found other bugs as well, so was a good end to a long day
It's time to do the hula hula 😄

I have the same problem. Where do you find 'Save As' to delete it?
Thanks
