items does not qualify for a reserve price. why?

i have been trying to set a reserve price on the items i want to sell but it tells me that my items are not qualified to set a reserve price. so what are the items that qualify?

on eBay Australia the only categories for Reserve Price auctions are Motors / Bikes / Caravans / Boats and real estate.

in effect on eBay Australia your auction STARTING PRICE is the reserve, it is the minimum price you are willing to accept should the auction end with only one bidder.

a buy it now price added to an auction is NOT a resrve and the buy it now disappears once a single bid is placed, turning the listing into an Auction only.
