I have emailed ACCC
Ebay is now demanding they receive all Payments for sales through them, they are calling it Managed Payments. I am wondering if this is actually legal to demand how we accept payments. Years ago they tried to make it payment by Paypal only and the ACCC ruled against it,

I would SUGGEST you put FIVE days handling time on ALL of your listings and DO NOT post ANY items until the money is in YOUR bank. That is ACTUALLY what ebay is doing NOW, FACT

My handling time is NOW five days and NOTHING is SENT until the money is in MY bank. Plus I am gradually REDUCING my listings too

Managed payments and ebay now are ALL about ebay, sellers DO NOT matter to ebay, FACT. Sellers are to attract people to the ADDS on ADBAY, fact

If I sell an item on Thursday I get the money the next Tuesday.
Ditto for any day of the week, as I'm on weekly payments. As Paypal pay the same interest on my money as eBay, ie none, it is not an issue.
If you need to be paid daily, and can't cover a (maximum) week's delay in disbursements, then you probably need to look at other sites. That don't use a form of Managed Payments. They are getting rarer by the day, it would seem.

What rubbish, I sold over $400 on Friday and Saturday, all of it was in my bank account last night.
I will happily post as soon as I get the email saying the buyer has paid.
Oh PS by yelling at us we will believe you even more
I'm surprised that all the people un happy with MP don't leave, go find a better site. Interesting I have actually purchased from you in the past, I wouldnt with a 5 day handling.

Multi-million dollar companies rarely are - welcome to capitalism and how it incentivises businesses to look out for their own interests, financial or otherwise.
Perhaps interestingly, that's why I personally have no real issue with staying on the site; that is, I run a business to make a living and therefore must participate in the said same system in order to do that, so it currently serves my interests and the payment system does not disadvantage me in any way, and so I don't allow it to disadvantage my customers, as that would just kickstart a vicious cycle of bad, JMHO (good for me, I know, that I can tolerate it and make it work for me, I'm not saying everyone else should have the same experience - or response - that I do).
Just as an aside, though - it'd probably be better if you cited your facts, rather than just put the word "fact" after a statement, assuming they are actually facts. These days the word has entered colloquial territory, and it kinda comes across a bit self-congratulatory-preacher-like if "FACT" is just peppered into a paragraph... You know, like those guys that interject with "testify" every so often when they agree with something.

But digi, because they put it in capitals it must be a fact.

Thanks for taking the time to contact ACCC about this.
I contacted them a while back about this matter. The more people who do so the more inclined they are to act.
